- 1. Usage The YISS student ID card can be used as an official form of student identification and provides access to the library. 2. Financial Transactions Please note that the YISS student ID card cannot be used to open or link to a bank account. If you wish to make a payment, please use cash or a card that is enabled for international transactions, as the student ID card cannot be used for payments. 3. Re-issuance Please be aware that the YISS student ID card cannot be reissued under any circumstances. Make sure to keep it safe and do not lose it.

- Reminder: 2025 YISS Academic Calendar Yonsei International Summer School Dear YISS Students, Greetings from the YISS Office! We would like to inform you of the 2025 YISS Academic Calendar. As the 2nd week of the YISS has started, we would like to remind you that the course withdrawal period is approaching. Please note that withdrawal is based on the duration of each course, NOT your program length. Withdrawals for "4-Week" Courses: 10 AM, July 9 (Wed) ~ 5 PM, July 10 (Thur) Withdrawals for "6-Week" Courses: 10 AM, July 16 (Wed) ~ 5 PM, July 17 (Thur) Not sure if your course is 4-week or 6-week? → Check the course syllabus or the 2025 YISS Course List Regarding Course Withdrawals [HOW TO WITHDRAW COURSE(S)] Go to the Yonsei Portal → Select Language: ENG → Log in with your Student ID → Navigate to 'Academic Information System' → 'Academic Information' → 'Courses' → 'Application for withdrawal of courses' → Click 'Withdrawal' button on the course you would like to withdraw from and provide a reason. After submitting, check the "Withdrawal List" or the "course registration details" menu for confirmation. [IMPORTANT NOTES] Withdrawals are only allowed during the designated period above. The system will be closed afterward, and cannot be reopened. Withdrawn course(s) cannot be refunded due to the YISS refund policy. Withdrawn course(s) will NOT appear on your transcript but will show a "W" mark on the Yonsei Portal system. Once a course is withdrawn, the action cannot be undone. Please think carefully and be certain before withdrawing. To withdraw from any course(s) without it appearing on your transcript, please refer to the details below. (There are YISS TAs on campus wearing a yellow vest. - [2024 YISS] Regarding the Woojungwon B/D issue (Notice from the Housing Office of Yonsei University)
- Dear Members of the Yonsei Global Community, We are sharing an updated notice from the Housing Office of Yonsei University for your reference, as of May 21st. Office of International Affairs Yonsei University Link to the notice: https://dorm.yonsei.ac.kr/en/board/?mode=V&idx=8538&id=notice_en&p=1 To students planning to reside in Woojungwon for the 2024 summer programs: We are aware that recent concerns have arisen following a post on an anonymous Yonsei University student online forum regarding Woojungwon uploaded on May 18. On the same day, the Office of Facilities immediately conducted an on-site assessment of the building. Subsequently, on May 20, representatives and structural safety engineers from government agencies, including the Seoul Metropolitan Government, and Seodaemun-gu Office, conducted a joint evaluation to examine the issue thoroughly. Based on this initial assessment, the team concluded, “There are no structural issues compromising the safety of Woojungwon, but rather imperfections and subsequent aging of the floor tile finishing work had affected the area.” Nevertheless, Yonsei University is taking further steps to complete a comprehensive safety evaluation of Woojungwon. Beginning today May 21, building safety inspection professionals will conduct a meticulous diagnostic assessment of the building. The Housing Office of Yonsei University looks forward to receiving encouraging results, which are expected to be announced by late May or early June, and we will ensure the disclosure of the assessment outcome. We fully understand and empathize with the concerned students who plan to reside in Woojungwon this summer and as their family members, and we are committed to making all efforts that will contribute to improving Woojungwon's facilities and accommodation. - [2024 YISS] Extracurricular activities application procedure-Only enrollment complete student
- Dear Students! Thank you for waiting patiently. I know you are very excited about YISS extracurricular activities! Before we start with the application instructions, it is very important to let you know a few warnings: 1. First Come, First Serve: All activities are on a first-come, first-serve basis including the waitlist. They are highly competitive, so please apply as soon as possible. 2. Securing Your Spot: To fully secure your spot, you must complete the activities fee payment and submit the final confirmation form. Detailed information will be sent to those who succeed in applying for extracurricular activities. 3. Waitlist Information: You will notice there is a waitlist for each activity. The waitlist will only open after the regular extracurricular activities are full. 4. Make sure you check extracurricular activities information on the YISS website(food allergy, phobias etc.) 5. Refunds are not possible after you have fully secured your spot!! Here are the instructions for the YISS extracurricular activities application: *The regular extracurricular activities application will be open from 10:00 June 4th ~ 6th June 15:00 KST. *The waitlist will be open from 10:00 7th June ~ 10th June 15:00 KST. 1) Access the Application System: The application for extracurricular activities is available on the YISS online application system 2) Select Your Activities: Read the notice on the application system and select the activities you wish to join. Multiple choices are possible, so feel free to choose more than one activity. 3) Submit Your Application: Ensure you press the 'submit' button to finalize your extracurricular activities application. 4) Check the Results: Wait for the results. You can check the status of your application on the YISS online application system. **1st payment deadline: June 12th 15:00 KST (All fee payments through Flywire + KG INICIS fees must be ‘completed’ before the deadline-Initiate is not acceptable)-so Please×100 pay as soon as possible.
